To be a church of significance, engaging the community in love, building relationships, and sharing the power of the Gospel of Christ.
Christ-Centered - This is the Invitation of Jesus. That we would put Him first in our lives and first in our thoughts seeking to do life his way with him.
Integrity - This is something we see in the Nature of Jesus. It is a quality in the person of Jesus that we long to emulate and live up to.
Resolve - This is the Example of Jesus. All throughout his life and especially in his ministry years Jesus did not give up or turn aside to other things. He kept on track because people are worth it.
Courage - This is exemplified in the Commitment of Jesus. God sent his one and only Son with a unique goal in mind. That goal was to call people back into relationship with himself, to smash the barrier that sin had erected and so Jesus came to seek and save the lost. Despite great opposition He lived and loved to achieve that goal for us.
Like-Mindedness - This is the Prayer of Jesus. We get an insight into the very heart of God himself if we read John 17. Here Jesus prays for his disciples and all who would believe in Him through their message. Jesus wants his church to be of one mind just as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are united.
Extravagance - This is the Character of Jesus. God is never stingy or miserly. He cares abundantly, gives richly, welcomes open-handedly, and loves generously. All throughout scripture we read of a God who forgives freely, gives grace and pours out his Holy Spirit. We want to as well.
